The guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative are the world’s leading standard for sustainability reporting. By applying the GRI reporting framework and the associated recording of certain key figures and indicators on economic, ecological and social aspects, sustainability reports from a wide variety of organizations and industries can be compared with each other. Since its launch in 2000, the framework has been continuously developed and adapted to the needs of organizations and users. Until the end of June 2018, reports could still be published in the last standard of the fourth generation (G4). From then on, only the current GRI Sustainability Standards may be applied.
In our blog we keep you up to date on the latest developments in GRI practice. As a member of the international GRI Standards Pioneers Group, we actively support the introduction of the new standards.
As a GOLD Member (formerly Organizational Stakeholder), crossrelations brandworks has been involved in the initiative’s stakeholder dialogue for many years. Thus, we are significantly involved in the further development and communication of the reporting standards. We pass this know-how on to our clients.
